  • Communications – support requests, survey responses, or messages you send to our team.

  • Subscription Information – your plan, renewal dates, and transaction history.

You control what data you choose to input into the Service. Please avoid entering sensitive personal, medical, or confidential business information unless necessary.

We automatically collect:

We do not sell your personal data or your chat content to third parties.

4. How We Handle Chat Data

Your interactions with GeoChat’s AI system are an essential part of our Service.

4.1 Storage

Chat transcripts (User Inputs and AI Outputs) may be temporarily stored to:

  • Display chat history within your account.

  • Troubleshoot performance issues or errors.

  • Improve model accuracy through aggregated, anonymized review.

4.2 Model Training and Improvement

We may analyze de-identified and aggregated chat data to improve model quality, safety, and responsiveness.
This means we remove or mask identifiers before using transcripts for training or evaluation.

4.3 Enterprise & Private Accounts

If you are a business customer under a separate enterprise contract, your chat data will not be used to train models or improve services beyond your account scope unless you explicitly consent.

4.4 Opt-Out

Individual users may opt out of product improvement use by contacting contact@geochat.ai.
This may limit certain personalization or prediction features.

5. Sharing and Disclosure

We may share data as follows:

  • Service Providers – with vendors supporting hosting, data storage, model processing, customer support, and analytics (e.g., AWS, OpenAI, Mapbox).

  • Sub-processors – bound by confidentiality and security terms equivalent to ours.

  • Legal Obligations – to comply with applicable law or enforce our Terms.

  • Business Transfers – as part of mergers or acquisitions, with notice to you.

  • Aggregated/Anonymized Data – for analytics or product insights that cannot identify you.

  • With Your Consent – when you explicitly authorize sharing or publication.

We do not sell or rent user chat data or personal data for advertising.

6. Data Retention

We retain information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, subject to applicable law.

  • Chat Transcripts and Spatial Data:
    We retain User Inputs and AI Outputs indefinitely so that users can access historical conversations, enable longitudinal analyses, improve continuity of the Service, and support auditing or product-safety research.
    Where feasible, we apply access controls, encryption, and periodic review to ensure stored chat data remains secure and relevant to the Service’s operation.

  • Account and Billing Data:
    Retained for the life of your account and for up to seven (7) years thereafter for legal, tax, and accounting purposes.

  • Support and Communications Data:
    Retained for as long as needed to respond to inquiries and maintain accurate service records.

  • Aggregated or De-identified Data:
    May be retained indefinitely for statistical, research, and model-improvement purposes.

You may request deletion of your personal or chat data at any time (see Section 8).

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures to protect your data:

  • Encryption in transit (TLS/SSL) and at rest.

  • Role-based access controls and audit logging.

  • Regular vulnerability testing and monitoring.

  • Incident response procedures for security events.

GeoChat is not intended for children under 18.
